Trip to Club Manila East
December 19th, 2008Club Manila East is a nice place to spend your summer. It is located in Taytay, Rizal. The place is very clean and the pools are well attended by lifeguards. They are very strict in terms of clothing. They make sure you are wearing the proper swimming attire when in pools. CME doesn’t allow foods and drinks to be brought inside. They have their own restaurant. There are also carts that sell food like Jollibee and Smokey’s. But if you want to save money, you can always bring food and leave it in your car. Just go out if you want to eat already. Yes, many families do that to save up because the entrance fee is quite expensive especially if you have a large group. Entrance fee is around Php260.00 per person.
Aside from the entrance fee, you still need to pay for your accommodations. The cheapest of them are the tents/pavilions which costs Php310.00 and Php360.00. But due to a large number of visitors, these accommodations are easily filled. So your next option would be their huts, cabin, or cabanas. They cost between Php2,000 to Php2,500. But in our case, we were not able to get any of these because they are already fully booked. Instead, we paid for rooms just to have a place to stay. Our one day swimming became an overnight stay. Check out is always at 11:00 am the following day so we don’t have a choice but to stay. We availed the barkada room where it includes accommodation for 5 persons and the use of pools. The room has two beds, one sofa bed, a television, small kitchen (with microwave and personal ref), a dining table and a bath tub.
CME has a wave pool with eight different patterns and a buzzy river with flowing water where you can ride a floater. Aside from these two attractions, they also have a kiddie pool with waterfalls and fountains, an adult pool with three-looped giant slides, a lap pool, a shaded pool, a bean-shaped pool and a boating area for kayaking. However, kayaking has a very long line especially if it’s peak season because it is not time limited. You really have to patiently wait for your turn. So instead of us falling in line for a long time, we decided to take a dip on the different pools. We don’t want to waste our time waiting for our turn.
They have billiard table for rent on a per hour basis. If you want to make your day more exciting, you can also rent a videoke for Php1,500 a day. They also conduct surfing and swimming lessons. I think these lessons are being conducted when the pools are still closed.
Our stay in Club Manila East was a very good one. It was quite above our budget but the kids that were with us really enjoyed their day. They even enjoyed our overnight stay in the villa. All of us were very tired the next day. You can see some of our pictures below in our trip to Club Manila East.
