I recently bought a dslr camera from CameraHaus.   I got Canon EOS 1000D Kit for Php 32,995.00.  It has one year warranty.  Another great thing about this deal is that it comes with a voucher that entitles you to a free basic digital photography lessons.  You can avail of this free lessons within three months from the date of your purchase.  You just need to provide them with the voucher, official sales receipt, the warranty card and the cut out portion of their delight warranty sticker from the camera box.  The sticker, which when scratched will reveal a unique authentication code that you need to provide the Canon office to avail of the free photography lessons.  So make sure that the camera box you are buying has one.  Also, this promo is up to December 31, 2008 only.  If you want to avail this promo, better get one now.

Canon EOS 1000D, also know as Digital Rebel XS is an entry level DSLR and is lighter and more affordable.  I don’t know much about camera specifications yet as I am just starting to learn all about it.  But I do know that Canon EOS 1000D has a 2.5″ LCD with live view mode shooting, has a 10.1megapixel CMOS sensor, an integrated cleaning system and the lens that comes with the kit already has a built-in image stabilizer.   For more detailed specifications of Canon EOS 1000D, you can always visit Digital Photography Review

This is my first dslr camera and I am not expert when it comes to these things.  All I can say right now is that this camera is really worth it. This is just based from the comparisons of the pictures I have taken with other cameras.  I am happy with it.  I still need to take the free photography lessons to improve my photography skills.  For now, I am that kind of person that just point and shoot on whatever I like.  I will let you know in the future if my photography skills have improved.
